Summitview Farm

     Welcome to Summitview Farm, home of Melanie and Rikki. Our 50 acre farm sits on Golden Ridge in Sherman Mills, Maine with a spectacular view of Mt. Katahdin.
     We are a diversified farm with a small herd of Scotch Highland Cattle that we raise to sell as either breeding stock or beef, various breeds of sheep for wool and/or meat, and Bernese Mountain Dogs.
     Our goal here is to naturally rear our animals by providing them with the diet nature intended for them. Our canines are prey model raw fed. Our livestock are fed  high quality organic hay which we harvest here from our farm. It is free of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides. We do not use growth hormones or any other means in which to unnaturally accelerate the growth of our cattle or sheep. We strive to maintain optimal health for our animals through proper natural diet, minimal or non vaccinating, and the use of homeopathy as an alternative to conventional veterinary treatment whenever possible.
